Helpful Hands, The Northeast Regional Early Intervention Collaborative, Inc. (NREIC) is a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote quality, family –centered early intervention services in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties. Helpful Hands offers family education and support, professional training and technical assistance and serves as a link between the state agency for early intervention in New Jersey, the NJ Department of Health – NJ Early Intervention System (NJDOH-NJEIS), and the region.
The NREIC also serves as the System Point of Entry to call for early intervention services in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties, and the hub for regional data collection. We are one of four (4) regional early intervention collaboratives in New Jersey. If you have concerns about a child's deveolpment you can make a referral to Early Intervention in NJ for a child under the age of 3 by calling the toll-free number: (888) 653-4463
Helpful Hands (NREIC) is a collaboration of parents and professionals working on behalf of infants and toddlers with a variety of developmental delays and/or disabilities. Helpful Hands seeks to ensure that all families are empowered to help their child grow and thrive to his or her potential.
